With a background in architecture, real estate, urban design and interior design, Shilpa has over 15 years of experience in designing spaces and places that people love to live, work and play in. Shilpa has an interior design qualification from London's prestigious KLC School of Design, where she graduated with multiple distinctions, as well as degrees in planning and design from the London School of Economics and the School of Planning and Architecture in New Delhi, which gave her a solid grounding in design.
A keen traveller, a life-long student of art and architecture, a published writer, and an avid photographer, Shilpa brings a uniquely multi-skilled, multi-disciplinary and holistic approach to design. Having worked all over the world on complex projects, Shilpa brings deep insight into how materiality, texture, scale and proportion combine to make spaces simultaneously beautiful, pleasing and highly functional.
Shilpa's columns on interior design and urbanism have been published by Forbes Life, Times of India and British Airways, amongst others. You can read these as well as more of Shilpa's writing on design, decor, architecture and travel in our design journal.
True to its name, ShilpAtelier Interiors is a studio where we create beautiful, functional spaces that are perfect for you. We strongly believe that a well-designed space should reflect the preferences, lifestyle and personalities of the people who use it.
Light, interior architecture, context and provenance play a big role in our work. We keep aware of trends, but don't blindly follow them.
All our designs are bespoke, distinctive, timeless, and informed by the professionally trained expertise of our founder. We prioritise our clients' needs above all else, and our modular packages ensure that no matter what your budget or type of project, we have a solution for you.
From concept to completion, we listen closely to our clients, and combine that with our technical and creative expertise, rigour and efficiency to deliver the clients' dream space.
We work alongside a carefully chosen set of professionals and suppliers, including joiners, curtain-makers, decorators and contractors to help bring our designs to life. However, we can also work seamlessly alongside your own chosen architects and contractors if you would like us to do so.
